Endowment for Human Development Advances Prenatal Development Research

Dr. Mark Holterman works at the University of Illinois College of Medicine as a professor of surgery and pediatrics. Interested in furthering research in the field of regenerative medicine and stem cell therapies, Mark Holterman, MD, serves as a scientific advisor for the Endowment for Human Development (EHD).

A nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting public health through the advancement of the science of health and human development, EHD also works to foster communication among educators, clinicians, and governments. The EHD board, administration, and staff comprise educators, researchers, authors, and clinicians from varied scientific fields who share a common passion for prenatal development-based education.
With a commitment to neutrality on controversial bioethical issues, such as the use of stem cells, EHD believes that studying the science of human prenatal development will lead to improvements in children's health care and will enhance childhood development and prevent certain defects and diseases.
